1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how StatusVault: Status Saver (package com.nova.status.video.image.saver, "the App"), developed by Novaradix Technology ("we", "us"), handles information. The App lets you view, save and share photo and video statuses from a status folder that you choose on your Android device.

In short: the App works on your device, needs no account, has no server of its own and never uploads your statuses.

2. Information the App accesses

  • Folders you select. Through Android's system folder picker you grant the App read-only access to the status folder you choose. The App uses this access only to list, preview, save and share the photos and videos in that folder. It does not read any other folder.
  • Media you save. When you tap Save, a copy is written to your device's Pictures/StatusVault or Movies/StatusVault folder. On Android 9 and older, Android asks for storage permission the first time you save.
  • Settings on your device. Your theme, grid size, connected folders, onboarding state and ad-frequency counters are stored locally in the App's private storage. Small preview thumbnails are kept in the App's cache.

You can remove folder access at any time in Settings → Status access → Remove folder access, or by clearing the App's data. Uninstalling the App deletes its settings and cache; copies you saved stay in your gallery until you delete them.

3. What the App does not do

  • It does not read your chats or messages.
  • It does not access your contacts, call logs, SMS, camera, microphone or location.
  • It does not require sign-up or login.
  • It does not upload your statuses or saved media to Novaradix Technology or anyone else.
  • It does not run in the background or monitor folders when you are not using it.

4. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App is free and shows ads served by Google AdMob. Before ads are requested where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), you are asked for consent through Google's User Messaging Platform. You can review or change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy Choices when that option is shown.

To deliver, measure and, with your consent, personalise ads, Google may collect and process information such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, approximate location derived from it, device and app information, and ad interactions. This processing is performed by Google under its own policies:

You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your device's Google/Privacy settings.

5. Sharing

When you tap Share, Android's share sheet sends the selected file to the app you choose, with temporary read access to that file only. Apart from the advertising processing described above, we do not sell, rent or share your information with third parties.

6. Data security and retention

Everything the App stores stays on your device and remains under your control. Ad-related data sent by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit. We do not hold any of your personal data on our own systems, so there is nothing for us to retain or delete; you can clear the App's data from Android settings at any time.

7. Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Trademarks

StatusVault is an independent utility and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by WhatsApp or Meta. WhatsApp is a trademark of its respective owner and is mentioned only to describe compatibility.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The latest version is always published at novaradix.com/app-privacy-policy/statusvault-privacy-policy.html with a new effective date.
