Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how QR Master: Scan, Create & Brand ("QR Master", "the app"), developed by Novaradix Technology ("we", "us"), handles information. The app is designed to work offline: scanning, QR creation, logo editing and QR validation all run on your device. We do not operate servers that receive your data and we do not require an account.
Information processed on your device
- Camera: when you use the scanner, the live camera feed is analysed on your device to read QR codes and barcodes. Camera frames are never recorded, stored or uploaded.
- Photos you choose: images you select for gallery scanning or as a logo are processed on your device. Logos you add are kept in the app's private storage so you can edit them later.
- Scan history, created codes, favorites, My QR items and settings are stored only in the app's private storage on your device. You can turn off scan history at any time in Settings.
- QR images you save are written to your device gallery (Pictures › QR Master) only when you tap Save.
Information we do not collect
We do not collect, upload, sell or share the content of codes you scan or create, your logo images, your contacts, calendar or location. The app never reads your address book or calendar: saving a scanned contact or event opens your own contacts or calendar app so you can review it before saving. The app does not request location permission; location QR codes use coordinates you enter.
Permissions
- Camera: requested only when you open the scanner, and used only to read codes.
- Photos: images are chosen with the Android system photo picker, which gives the app access only to the image you select. On Android 9 and older, storage permission is requested only to save QR images to your gallery.
- Internet: used to show ads. Scanning, creating and validating QR codes never need a connection.
Payments (UPI)
The app does not process payments. It never asks for or stores your UPI PIN, OTP, card numbers or bank passwords. A UPI QR code contains only a payment address and optional amount and note. Paying from a scanned UPI code always requires your explicit confirmation and takes place inside the UPI app you choose.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app is free and shows ads served by Google AdMob. To deliver, measure and personalise ads and to prevent fraud, Google may collect and process information such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, approximate location derived from the IP address, device and app information, and your interactions with ads. This processing is performed by Google under its own privacy policy.
- Where required by law (for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), the app asks for your consent through Google's consent tool before personalised ads are requested. You can review or change your choice at any time in Settings › Privacy & ad choices.
- You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ads personalisation, in your Android device settings (Settings › Privacy › Ads).

Barcode scanning technology (Google ML Kit)
Barcode reading uses Google ML Kit, which runs on your device. ML Kit may send anonymous performance and usage metrics to Google to maintain and improve the service; it does not send camera images or the contents of scanned codes. Terms: https://developers.google.com/ml-kit/terms
Data sharing and sale
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with third parties. The only third-party data processing is performed by the Google services described above (AdMob and ML Kit). When you choose to share a QR image or open a link, email, map, contact or payment app, the content you selected is handed to that app at your request.
Data retention and deletion
Everything the app stores stays on your device until you delete it. Use Settings › Privacy & Data to clear your scan history, created codes, favorites or all local data at any time. App data is excluded from cloud backups, and uninstalling the app removes all of its data. Images you saved to your gallery remain there until you delete them.
Security
App data is kept in Android's private, sandboxed app storage, which other apps cannot access. Because we do not transmit your content to our own servers, it cannot be exposed through them.
Children's privacy
The app is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us and we will help remove it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, California law or India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data and to withdraw consent. Because the app keeps your content on your device, you control it directly and can delete it at any time. For data processed by Google for advertising, use the controls above or contact Google. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted in the app and at https://novaradix.com/app-privacy-policy/qrmaster-privacy-policy.html with a new effective date.
