PDF Master Toolkit: PDF Tools

Privacy Policy

  • Effective date: September 15, 2026
  • Last updated: September 15, 2026
  • Package com.novaradix.doc.pdfreader

This Privacy Policy explains how NovaRadix Technology ("we", "us", "our") handles information in the Android application PDF Master Toolkit: PDF Tools (package name com.novaradix.doc.pdfreader) (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

In short
  • Your PDFs, scans and images are processed on your device. We never upload them to our servers.
  • We do not require an account and do not collect your name, email address or contacts.
  • Passwords you type to open, protect or unlock PDFs are used only for that task and are never stored.
  • The App shows ads from Google AdMob, which may use device identifiers to serve and measure ads.

1. Your documents

PDF files, scanned pages and images you open, create, convert, merge, split, compress, protect, unlock, watermark or otherwise edit in the App are processed locally on your device. The App does not send document content, file names or images to NovaRadix Technology or to any other server.

Files you create are saved on your device, for example in Download/PDFMasterToolkit or Pictures/PDFMasterToolkit, or in a location you choose with the Android "Save as" screen. Tools always create new files and never overwrite your originals. These files stay on your device until you delete them.

2. Information stored on your device

To provide features such as Recent Documents, Favorites, bookmarks, remembered reading position, recently used tools and your settings (theme, language, reader and scanner preferences), the App stores the following in its private storage on your device:

  • file names, file locations (URIs), sizes and dates of documents you open or create;
  • bookmarks, last read page and favorites;
  • app preferences and temporary thumbnail previews.

This information is not sent to us. It may be included in your personal Android backup (Google account backup or device-to-device transfer) if you have enabled backup on your device; temporary scan sessions and working files are excluded. You can remove it at any time by clearing the App's data or uninstalling the App.

3. Passwords

Passwords you enter to open a protected PDF, to add password protection or to remove it are held in memory only while the task runs. They are not saved, logged or transmitted.

4. Camera and document scanner

The scanner uses the Google ML Kit Document Scanner provided through Google Play services, which processes camera images on your device, or your device's own camera app. The App itself does not request the Android camera permission and does not upload scanned images. Use of Google Play services is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

5. Photos and files you select

When you add images or PDFs, the App uses the Android photo picker, the system document picker or folders you explicitly grant access to. The App can read only the items you select or the folders you allow. You can revoke folder access in the App under Settings > Folder access or in Android settings.

6. Advertising

The App is free and supported by ads served by Google AdMob (Google LLC). To deliver, measure, limit the frequency of and, where permitted, personalize ads, Google and its partners may automatically collect information such as:

  • the Android Advertising ID and other device identifiers;
  • IP address (used to infer approximate location), device model, operating system and language;
  • app interactions with ads, such as impressions and clicks, and diagnostic information.

Ads never have access to your documents, file names, scans or passwords. Where required by law (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and certain US states), the App asks for your consent or offers an opt-out through Google's User Messaging Platform before personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time in the App under Settings > Ad privacy choices. You can also reset or delete your Advertising ID in Android settings (Settings > Privacy > Ads).

Learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.

7. Other Google Play features

  • Rate App: the App may use the Google Play In-App Review API or open the Google Play Store. Reviews are handled by Google Play.
  • Share and Print: when you share or print a file, it is passed to the app or print service you choose, which handles it under its own policy.

8. Analytics and crash reports

The App does not include third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs operated by us. We do not build user profiles. Google Play may provide us with aggregated, anonymous statistics (such as installs and crash rates) under Google's own policies.

9. Permissions

10. Data sharing and selling

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share your documents with anyone. Apart from the advertising data collected by Google AdMob described in Section 6, no information is shared with third parties. We may disclose information only if required by law, and we do not hold your documents, so we cannot disclose them.

11. Data retention and deletion

Because we do not store your data on our servers, there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf. You stay in control:

  • remove individual items from Recent Documents or Favorites in the App;
  • clear the thumbnail cache in Settings > Clear thumbnail cache;
  • clear all App data in Android settings, or uninstall the App;
  • delete created files with the App or any file manager.

For data collected by Google for advertising, see My Ad Center and Google's privacy controls.

12. Security

Processing documents on your device greatly reduces the risk of exposure. PDF password protection uses AES-256 encryption. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so please protect your device with a screen lock and keep backups of important documents.

13. Children's privacy

The App is a general-audience productivity tool and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us and we will help address it.

14. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act and similar laws), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, to object to processing, to withdraw consent and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Since we do not hold personal data about you on our servers, most of these rights are exercised directly on your device or through Google's controls described above. You can contact us with any request.

15. International users

The App can be used worldwide. Advertising data collected by Google may be processed in countries other than your own, under the safeguards described in Google's policies.

16. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App or legal requirements change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date, and significant changes may also be noted in the App or on its Google Play listing. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
