VideoMate: Edit & Compress (package com.nova.videomate.edit.compress, "VideoMate", "the app") is developed by NovaRadix Technology ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles and how. By using VideoMate, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
- Offline video toolbox: VideoMate is an offline video toolbox. All video, audio and photo processing happens on your device. Your media is never uploaded to our servers or any cloud service.
- No accounts: The app has no login and no accounts, and we do not collect your name, email address or contacts.
- Your files stay yours: You choose media with Android's system Photo Picker or file picker. Finished exports are saved to your shared folders; your original files are never modified or deleted.
- Ad-supported: The app shows ads through Google AdMob. Ads are the only reason the app uses the internet, and Google may collect limited device information to serve and measure them.
1. Your media files
- Selection via system pickers: You choose videos, photos and audio with Android's system Photo Picker or file picker. The app can only access the files you pick; it does not scan or browse your whole gallery.
- Local processing: Files are processed locally with Android's media frameworks and FFmpeg. Temporary working files are kept in the app's private storage and deleted automatically when an export finishes, fails or is cancelled.
- Saved exports: Finished exports are saved to your device's shared folders (for example
Movies/VideoMate,Music/VideoMateorPictures/VideoMate). Your original files are never modified or deleted by the app. - No cloud transmission: We (NovaRadix Technology) never receive, view or store your media.
2. Information stored on your device
The app saves a small amount of settings on your device only:
- Theme preferences;
- Default quality options;
- Output folder selection;
- Whether onboarding was completed;
- A list of your recent exports shown in "Creations";
- Ad-frequency counters.
This data never leaves your device and is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app is free and supported by ads from Google AdMob (banner, native, interstitial and optional rewarded ads). To serve and measure ads, Google may collect and process:
- the device advertising ID (which you can reset or delete in Android Settings › Privacy › Ads),
- IP address, approximate location derived from it, device model, OS version and app information,
- ad interactions (impressions and clicks) and diagnostics.
Where required (for example in the EEA, UK and Switzerland), the app asks for your consent through Google's User Messaging Platform before personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice any time in Settings › Ad privacy inside the app. If you do not consent, non-personalized or limited ads may still be shown.

4. Permissions

The app does not request camera, microphone, contacts, location or broad media-library permissions.
5. Sharing of information
We do not sell or share your personal information. Media you process is only shared if you choose to share it with another app using the Share button. The only third party that receives device data from the app is Google (AdMob and User Messaging Platform), as described in section 3.
6. Data retention and deletion
Because we do not collect your personal data on our servers, there is nothing for us to retain or delete. You can delete app data at any time by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it. Exported files remain in your device folders until you delete them. For data processed by Google for ads, see Google's privacy policy and your device's ad settings.
7. Security
Processing is performed entirely on your device, which greatly limits the exposure of your data. Temporary files are stored in the app's private sandbox, which other apps cannot access.
8. Children's privacy
The app is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will help resolve it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
