The short version
- Your photos never leave your device. All AI enhancement runs on your phone. We have no servers that receive your photos, and the app contains no upload feature.
- The app only sees the photos you choose through the Android photo picker. It does not ask for access to your gallery.
- Location data (GPS) is removed from enhanced photos by default.
- The app is free and shows ads from Google AdMob. The ad provider may collect an advertising identifier and device information, as described below. No photo, file name or image content is ever shared with it.
- There are no accounts and no analytics tools.
1. Who we are
PhotoMax AI: 8K Enhancer (the “App”, package com.nova.photo.enhance8k) is developed and published by Novaradix Technology (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the App handles, why, and the choices you have.

2. Your photos
How the App gets a photo
You select a photo using the Android system photo picker. The App receives access to that single photo only. It does not request permission to read your photo library, storage or camera.
How the photo is processed
The selected photo is copied into the App’s private storage on your device so that processing can continue if you leave the screen. Enhancement — including upscaling, denoising, sharpening and compression-artifact repair — is performed by AI models that are built into the App and run entirely on your device’s processor or graphics chip. No part of the photo is transmitted over the internet. Enhancement works with no network connection at all.
What is stored, and where
- Enhanced photos are saved to your device’s gallery in
Pictures/PhotoMax AI(if automatic saving is on) and in the App’s private storage. - History of your recent enhancements (small thumbnails, dimensions, date and settings used) is stored locally in the App so you can revisit them. You can remove any entry, or clear all history, from within the App.
- Temporary working files are deleted automatically when an enhancement finishes, is cancelled, or fails.
None of this is sent to us or to anyone else. We cannot see, access or recover your photos.
3. Photo metadata (EXIF)
Photos can contain hidden metadata such as the capture date, camera model and GPS location. When the App saves an enhanced photo it:
- keeps useful photographic details such as capture date and camera settings;
- removes GPS location data by default (you can change this in Settings → Privacy);
- adds a note that the photo was processed by PhotoMax AI.
Metadata is read and written on your device only and is never shared with us, with advertisers, or with any third party.
4. Advertising
The App is free to use and is supported by advertising provided by Google AdMob. To show ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process:
- your device’s advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID);
- device and app information such as device model, operating system version, language, and approximate location derived from your IP address;
- interactions with ads (for example, whether an ad was shown or tapped), used for ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention.
We never pass your photos, thumbnails, file names, image content or photo metadata to the ad provider. Ads are not targeted using anything you do inside the App, and we request only general-audience (G-rated) ads.
Where required by law — including in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland — the App asks for your consent using Google’s User Messaging Platform before any ad is requested. You can review or change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy → Ad privacy options. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your device’s Android settings under Privacy → Ads.
Ads never interrupt an enhancement in progress, and if ads cannot load the App continues to work normally.
Google’s use of this information is governed by its own policies:
- Google Privacy Policy
- How Google uses information from apps that use its services
- AdMob and your data
5. Information we do not collect
- We do not operate user accounts and do not ask for your name, email address or phone number.
- We do not include any analytics or tracking SDK of our own.
- We do not access your contacts, camera, microphone, precise location, or other files.
- We do not sell personal information.
If Google Play’s standard crash reporting is enabled on your device, Google may share anonymous crash diagnostics with us through the Play Console to help fix problems. These reports do not include your photos.
6. Permissions the App uses
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
| Internet & network state | Only to load ads and handle ad consent. Enhancement does not use the network. |
| Notifications | To show enhancement progress while the App is in the background. Optional — you may decline. |
| Foreground service & wake lock | So a running enhancement is not stopped when you switch apps or the screen turns off. |
| Advertising ID | Used by the Google Mobile Ads SDK as described in section 4. |
The App requests no storage, photo-library or camera permission.
7. Data retention and deletion
Everything the App stores stays on your device and remains under your control:
- Delete individual results or clear all history within the App.
- Clear cached files in Settings → Storage.
- Remove all App data by clearing the App’s storage in Android settings or uninstalling the App. Photos already saved to your gallery remain there until you delete them.
Because we hold no personal data on our servers, there is nothing for us to delete on request. For data held by Google in connection with ads, use the controls in your Google account and device settings.
Device backups created by Android include only the App’s settings — never your photos, history or cached files.
8. Security
Photos are processed in the App’s private storage, which other apps cannot access. Selected files are checked before processing, the built-in AI models are integrity-verified, and ad traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).
9. Children’s privacy
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, contact us and we will help address it.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act, or India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal information and to withdraw consent. Because the App keeps your data on your device, you can exercise most of these rights directly using the controls described above. For advertising data, you can withdraw consent at any time in Settings → Privacy → Ad privacy options. For any other request, email us.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the App changes. The current version is always available at this address, with the effective date shown at the top. Significant changes will be highlighted in the App’s release notes.
